Camping & Accommodation

If camping isn't your thing and you want some accommodation, don't struggle with finding it.  We monitor B&B accommodation for this reason so please get in touch. Let us know what you want and for how many and we'll hopefully be able to put you in touch with the right place to stay.

CAMPING

We didn't think we would be able to do camping at all for any events we might have....Happily, One of the local Farmers Steve & Di Di Thomas have very kindly allowed us to use a field close by. There is space for parking your vehicle and pitching and if the weather is damp and you get stuck Steve promises he'll bring his tractor over to get you out if you ask nicely.  Portable toilet facilities will be provided for the weekend.

Llanwddyn Events would like to say a huge thank you for their generosity and assistance.

Please read all the information below before making your decision to camp

Availability is all year round if you are brave enough! - although remember,  it is just a field with no amenities available other than our public loo at the top of the road. (2 mins walk)

Unfortunately,  we CAN NOT take massive large Motor-homes in the field as if it rains and gets muddy we wont be able to get you off if you get stuck!  Small VW Sized camper vans, medium sized Motor-homes and caravans are okay in ideal conditions.

There is a gravelled dip on entering the site, but thereafter the field is mostly flat. If you please adhere to the Stewards instructions on pitching to avoid any unnecessary problems.

Use of the festival campsite and venue area at your own risk. The field has been loaned in good faith for your convenience to help you enjoy the festival close up. Whilst we will have stewards watching the site throughout the day until late evening, the Llanwddyn Folk and acoustic weekend and owner of the field disclaim liability for any personal injury, loss, damage or theft to property including vehicles at the festival and campsite; we disclaim liability for any inaccuracies in any information published with regard to the event.

There is an alternative camp site for Motor-homes about 1/2 mile away. This has a caravan club certified site plus a second area for motor-homes with or without electric hookups.  The site is called Fronheulog Caravan park.   We would advise booking this site early to get a space with the usual luxury's attached.

  • Llanwddyn is a very small community with a village of no more than 36 houses, surrounded by farmland.
The venue is in the middle of the village and the camping field is 2 mins walk away.
  • We do ask you to think and respect peoples privacy.
  • We ask you to keep your noise levels down to a minimum, especially after 10:00pm.

There will be some basic rules you must adhere to when camping. These will be provided on arrival at the site.

Thanks for reading this boring but necessary information :o)

Camping (posh)

Aside from our festival field with basic facilities there are a couple of sites near by you could use.

Fronheulog camp site - Please contact Lynda on 01691 870362 - It has a Caravan Club field plus plenty of room for motorhomes and caravans with or without electric hook up. Located approx 1/2 mile back up the hill from the festival venue.

There are other campsites available to you within 8 miles so if you have trouble get in touch. We'll help if we can.

Hotels - B&B'S - Self Catering

There is a selection of B&B's Hotels and self catering around the area. The nearest is around 1/2 mile away and walk-able. The furthest being between 5 & 8 miles away. We do suggest you dont leave it too late as they soon get booked up.

Please let them know when booking that you are coming to the festival. Just so they know the benefit of running a festival in the village..  YEP..amazingly.. some people are not convinced! We ask ya!

The Lake Vyrnwy Tourist information web site has a list of accommodation available to you. Although not exhausting what is on offer..its a good starting point. the address is http://www.lake-vyrnwy.com/

See you in 2017
